The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA), with support from the African Climate Foundation, is set to host the inaugural Ghana-China Climate Summit on Tuesday, 16th September 2025, 9 a.m. GMT at the AfCFTA Secretariat Auditorium in Accra.
The summit is designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation on climate action and sustainable development, as climate change continues to pose significant threats to economies, ecosystems, and livelihoods across Africa and beyond.
Bringing together government officials, policymakers, private sector leaders, civil society actors, and researchers from Ghana and beyond, the high-level dialogue will provide a platform to exchange knowledge, explore joint initiatives, and foster partnerships that drive low-carbon growth.
Key discussions will focus on climate resilience, renewable energy investments, green technology transfer, and policy innovations that align with global climate goals. Organizers noted that the summit will also serve as a catalyst for deepening South-South cooperation, ensuring that climate action remains central to Ghana-China diplomatic and economic relations.
According to Paul Frimpong the Executive Director of ACCPA, “The Ghana-China Climate Summit is a conference that will provide a platform for shared solutions, innovation, and lasting partnerships that can accelerate Africa’s transition to a green economy”.
Attendance is strictly limited, and interested participants are encouraged to secure their seats early.
