Written By: Sino-Africa Insider

The Chinese Embassy in Guinea-Bissau has donated a significant package of sanitation equipment to the city of Bissau, aiming to support local waste management and public health services. The donation includes 12 sanitation motorcycles and 100 uniforms for sanitation workers.

The handover ceremony was attended by Chinese diplomatic staff and Guinea-Bissau officials, who underscored the importance of the gesture in strengthening bilateral goodwill and improving urban hygiene.

Local authorities welcomed the donation, noting that motorized equipment and proper uniforms will enhance the ability of sanitation workers to manage waste collection routes more efficiently, respond to public cleanliness challenges, and improve the visible state of public spaces in Bissau.

This contribution is part of China’s broader efforts to support infrastructure, health, and urban services across partner countries, reinforcing the role of everyday public services in the broader narrative of cooperation and development.
