Addis Ababa will host a landmark Green Finance Workshop on July 15, 2025, bringing together senior decision-makers across government, finance, manufacturing, and development institutions to chart a sustainable industrial future for Ethiopia and the broader African region.
Organized by the Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA), in collaboration with Ethiopian stakeholders and supported by the African Climate Foundation (ACF), the workshop aims to unlock climate-aligned investment flows and promote green finance as a cornerstone of Africa’s industrial transformation.
“Green finance is not just about climate, it’s about unlocking inclusive, resilient economic growth for Africa,” said Paul Frimpong, Executive Director of ACCPA. “This workshop is a platform to align capital, policy, and innovation toward Ethiopia’s sustainable industrial future.”
Held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Addis Ababa, the event will feature interactive sessions, expert presentations, and curated networking focused on:
- Green bonds, climate funds, and ESG-aligned financing tools
- Public-private partnerships and industrial investment models
- Risk mitigation strategies in climate finance
- Regulatory and policy frameworks for green industry
The workshop will convene senior representatives from financial institutions, private investors, manufacturing firms, government ministries, and international organizations. Participants will contribute to the development of a practical roadmap to scale green finance and embed sustainability across Ethiopia’s industrial landscape.
Participation in the workshop is fully funded and limited to selected applicants, with a focus on senior-level professionals and decision-makers. This event is part of ACCPA’s broader mission to foster Africa-China cooperation on sustainable development, climate action, and industrial innovation.
