Chinese Embassy Brings Joy to Zimbabwean Orphanage Ahead of Children's Day.

In a heartwarming gesture ahead of International Children’s Day on June 1, the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe has donated essential supplies to the Hossana Love in Africa Children’s Home, located in Harare’s Hatcliffe suburb. The orphanage, established in 2016 with support from Chinese businesses, received daily necessities aimed at improving the children’s well-being.

Lyu Renhong, wife of the Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe, led the handover ceremony. She emphasized the enduring friendship between China and Zimbabwe, stating that the donation from the embassy and the Loving Moms, a Chinese charity group, reflects China’s commitment to leaving no one behind. Lyu also took time to engage with the children, encouraging them to dream big and pursue education with determination. She assured the orphanage of China’s continued support, including scholarship opportunities and other forms of assistance to empower the children toward a brighter future.

The event also highlighted China’s broader contributions to Zimbabwe’s development, including the construction of schools, clinics, and roads. Teachers at the orphanage expressed gratitude, noting that the donation would significantly support the children’s daily needs.

This initiative underscores the strong ties between China and Zimbabwe, showcasing a shared dedication to nurturing the next generation.
