ACCPA Hosts Landmark Green Finance Workshop in Ethiopia with Multisector Participation

Written By: Sino-Africa Insider

The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA), in partnership with the African Climate Foundation (ACF), successfully hosted the Green Finance Workshop – Addis Ababa 2025, a milestone event that brought together a wide array of stakeholders to explore practical strategies for financing Ethiopia’s green industrial future.

Held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in the heart of Addis Ababa, the workshop attracted more than 45 influential participants from across sectors—including financial institutions, government agencies, private industry, green entrepreneurs, civil society, and international development partners.

Under the theme “Unlocking Sustainable Industrial Growth for Ethiopia,” the event served as a timely response to the growing urgency of climate-smart investment and inclusive industrial development in Africa.

Rather than a typical conference, the workshop was designed as a highly interactive and outcome-focused platform, offering participants a hands-on experience.

In his opening remarks, Paul Frimpong, Executive Director of ACCPA, emphasized the workshop’s importance as both a strategic conversation and a launchpad for action.

“What we’re building here is more than dialogue—it’s momentum,” said Frimpong. “Momentum toward a new kind of industrial development: one that is clean, inclusive, and resilient, powered by finance that understands both risk and responsibility.”

He highlighted the need for long-term partnerships that prioritize local ownership and catalytic action.
